Whilst we’d love to be dipping our toes in at Town Beach, the cool winter air is having us reconsidering boardies. We’re ditching salads for warming winter meals and we’ve got dibs on the best spots to snuggle up and see out the cold change. Duck into The Corner Restaurant and spice up your night with a fragrant red Thai curry: confit duck leg, baby bokchoy and crunchy shallots with roti bread and jasmine rice. Treat yourself to a hot chocolate pudding afterwards – you deserve it.
It’s too cold for a beachside campfire, but Zebu Bar & Grill have the next best thing with warm fires and waterfront views. Sip your way through the winter wine list, settle in for dinner and enjoy a glass or two over plates of perfectly cooked gnocchi, or slip in a cheeky extended Happy Hour from 6pm-8pm every Saturday night with $12 cocktails.

Our secret to heating up in June? Chilli. And lots of it. We’ve met our match at Glasshouse Thai, so while classics like pad thai are always a winner we recommend delving into their house signature dishes: King Prawn hot pot, chilli and basil pork belly and soft shell crab. Last tip? Order all three for yourself, because hibernation.
Bust out the blankets and forget about bikini bodies, we’re getting winter ready!
